Does anyone have any idea what it costs for the Sound & Light Show in Luxor Thanks

Idid a Nile cruise august2007.The cabin was actually under the water line so there was no window to look out of.It was quite noisy and the engine room and crew's quaters were down there also.There was alot of vibrations and it smelled of diesel. the room itself was big enough with a mini fridge, but I could not upgrade as it was fully booked. Having said all that, I had a fabulous time.Be prepared for a full and very busy itinerary with an average of 10 excursions. Some of these require you to get up pretty early in the morning, so it's not a relaxing holiday but it's a great adventure. Whats more I only had to pay about £80 single supplement. I usually pay about 80% on top of the price per person, so it works out very expensive as a rule to cruise by yourself.I went with African Safari, great value for money even though I was in the bowels of the ship. andrea anderson newcastle upon tyne

We took a Nile cruise a few years ago and yes whilst it is great to book an upper cabin cabin if you can, we only used the cabin for sleeping and so a lower cabin should be fine. We had a small balcony but did not use it as it was preferable when on the boat to sit on the top deck under the extensive sun canopy, drinkind a local beer,chatting with other guests and watching the amazing scenary.

did nile river boat cruise last year this boats generally are only 3/4 story high little difference in height but noise vibration could be an issue if not away from engines. Our cabin like most dont have balconies are scenery best seen on top[ open decks common to this type of ship as other traveller states little time spent in cabins DO TAKE PLENTY OF TUMMY REMEDIES AS CHANGE OF DIET CAN TRIGGER STOMACH PROBLEMS - NORMAL PRECAUTIONS A MUST WASH HAND AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY INFACT SHIP OFTEN GIVE OUT HOT TOWELS ON EVERY RETURN FROM TEMPLE SHORE EXCURSIONS

We cruised the Nile on viking III and we found we didn't spend any time in the cabin apart from sleeping!! we did upgrade to a higher deck which wasn't very expensive but really wasn't necessary in the end! I don't think Viking have balconies on their Nile boats.

Not quite sure what worries you except that it is always worth getting an upper deck cabin on river cruises, I remember on the last two cruises we had they were equipped with a balcony and that was worth it, small as it was, regards Ida
